Jerusalem Institute of Health Sciences is a private for profit health training school which was started in the year 2010 on a humble ground by Mr. Okode Peter and friends who are GOD fearing, community community health activists and had a vision of training Nurses of high morals and professional standards to equip private not-for-profit and national hospital with qualified health workers.

In September 2013, Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council, Ministry of Health, Uganda Nurses and Midwives Education Board as well as Ministry of health approved, recognized and registered the school of Nursing and Midwifery under Reg. number MoESTS/BTVET/147 and in October 2014 registered and licensed  the school of clinical medicine and community health under license number, ME/VOC/192 with the school code of U062 as the examination centre.
